Russian Cinema 160: Brat 1 and Brat 2
So for Russian 160, we’ve been viewing a lot of foreign films by director Aleksei Balabanov. In these two films, Balabanov shows main character, Danila that is conflicted by his morals and must attempt to set things right. The first film premiered in 1996 and the second permiered in 2000. Both of these films represent Russian culture and ideals. I am really pressed on time right now because it is Finals weekend so I can’t really say much in this post.
