America’s Best Dance Crew – Kaba Modern Robbed in Episode 7?

“I still think a KabaModern vs Jabbawockeez at the finals would’ve been the best choice for ratings and the best choice for all of the people who watch the show in general. Status Quo was really bad. I mean, come on, are you kidding me? They were terrible in episode 7 (evolution of dance) – they were clowns? – and they hardly even danced… Who the hell in America voted for them?”

Was the dance by Kaba not better than Status Quo in episode 7?

I mean come on! Status Quo performed first, wowing the judges with their stunts but failed to impress with the choreography. They aren’t synchronized, they can’t dance, all they do is jump around and do stunts. Garbage. Think about the possibilities if Mario Lopez didn’t read the prompt that said that Kaba and Jabba were in the bottom two. He should’ve disregarded what the prompt said and said that it should be Status Quo vs. Kaba in the end and that Jabba was #1 in the nation in episode 7. I mean, sure, Mario Lopez would’ve put his job in jeopardy or, even worse, been fired but at least he would be doing America a big favor.
There’s a lot of controversy going on about how the producers wanted an east coast vs. west coast going on and that’s why they didn’t have both jabba and kaba for the finale – Status Quo was the only East Coast team left.
AND
There’s controversy going on that they didn’t want two ASIAN teams going head to head – Why? I don’t know, you be the judge.
Read this article from Kat Nguyen of The Orange County Register:
I was at the taping of tonight’s episode — which actually took place Tuesday night in Culver City. Only had a minute to interview the weary-looking Kaba Modern dancers backstage before we had to get seated for the actual show. And I have to say this, Kaba got ROBBED …
When Status Quo was announced as the No.1 vote-getter from viewers and were safe from elimination, my jaw hit the floor. Are you kidding me? That loud eruption of cheers that you heard on the show tonight? Didn’t happen. When the announcement was made, there was light applause. People around us were confused and shocked. There was booing. And chants of “Recount! Recount!” Of course, that was noticeably absent from what aired on TV.
I have nothing against the guys from Status Quo and as fun as their flips and stunts are on TV, I don’t see much dancing at all. I mean, if all I wanted were flips and stunts, I’d pop in “Bring it On” or watch ESPN’s televised cheerleading competitions. The SQ dancers themselves have even admitted that they were performers more than dancers in an interview with a reporter from the Boston Globe. And they’ve been dinged by the judges nearly every week for sloppy choreography.

I think the funniest part of episode 7 was when they showed Yur, Cindy, and Jia of Kaba Modern taking off their hoodies because they were basically half naked but the next clip showed their parents cheering them on and showed how proud they were. You know what I mean? Here are some pictures if you don’t understand what I’m talking about haha:

Bottom Line:
Status Quo = garbage.
It shouldv’e been Kaba vs. Jabba in the season finale.
I’m out.

agreed. no way status quo got more votes than Jabbawockeez who were always the #1 vote getter in the entire show.
